Financial Services
Financial services organizations have long embraced both ERP and CRM software technologies. Unique business software requirements for this industry include a focus on consumer (not just business) accounts, the 'householding' of customer data, unique billing and invoicing situations, self service capabilities, significant integration to core operational systems and paramount importance for regulatory compliance (particularly SOX 404 (Sarbanes Oxley) and GLB ( Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999).

They also often need special CRM capabilities to support solution selling methodologies (e.g. scorecards and strategy sheets), multiple step (long duration) sales cycles and nurture marketing campaigns.
